Craig Webster
Associate Director
B.Arch (hons.). ARBV. AIA.
Registered Architect
Craig joined Moull Murray in 2004, rising to become an Associate Director in 2016. Craig is a proficient Project Architect with over 13 years of experience working on numerous projects of varying building typologies.
Craig became a Registered Architect in Victoria in 2008 and has since acted as the Project Architect on a number of projects. These include: Sono Apartments, Eigh South Townhouses, Bay Corner Offices, The Fore apartments and St Columba apartments. Craig has also taken a key role in larger scaled MMA projects: The Altus Apartments, Monarch Tower, Cockburn Central Living Apartments and Life.lab live/work apartments.
More recently, Craig has emerged as a lead Architect on Moull Murrays’ expanding portfolio of early learning centre projects. His understanding of the regulations and functional requirements allow the team to rapidly investigate potential sites. Acting as project architect on the Crest Children’s Sanctuary in Rowville, a 100 place early learning centre was successfully completed in 2016.
Craig manages the production of the Building Information Model (BIM) which forms the basis of all projects developed by MMA. This process enables the practice to produce accurate and complete project documentation as well as realistic 3D simulations, allowing the client to review important issues such as form, siting, program, circulation and architectural expression at an early stage of the design process.
Craig is responsible for setting up and maintaining office standards, general IT support and staff CAD training. He has an interest in graphics and website design, creating the Moull Murray website and is responsible for ongoing content updates.

Resources.
Moull Murray are leading architects in the use of BIM software. We constantly upgrade to the latest versions to allow our projects to benefit from the latest technologies. This enables construction documentation to be generated directly from our 3D CAD design models with greater accuracy in the co- ordination of structure and services as well as giving the client the opportunity to examine circulation flows and interior spaces with interactive walk through models from an early stage in the design process.
The Moull Murray office is equipped with the latest Apple iMacs, iPads and software. All of our staff are trained in the use of Archicad, Artlantis, relevant Adobe and Microsoft software packages.
Environment.
Our fundamental approach to designing environmentally sustainable buildings is to strive for naturally ventilated environments with integrated architectural shading mechanisms which add further layers of interest and detail to the exterior of the building, together with passive methods such as generous insulation, exposed thermal mass, good orientation. Our buildings are rigorously detailed.
This simple approach, in keeping with the tradition of fine modern architecture, has been extended with the deployment of the latest technological advancements in energy saving devices such as light fittings activated by motion detectors, solar PV panels, using renewable plantation timber and low voc paints. Thermally comfortable conditions are expected within our buildings all year round by optimising the building form with protected internal court spaces, orientation and detail design.
